28 Jan 2019 Year in ReviewReading Time: 3 minutes
As we are nearing the end of January already I thought I should write my year in review post for 2019. So let’s get started!
2019 flew by in a blink of an eye for me. So many things happened for me last year and it was amazing. I married my soul mate and we spent 2 awesome weeks in Thailand for our honeymoon. We added a new addition to our little family, Oscar the Maine Coon. And so many more memories were made.
Work was steady for me. I always feel like I can be better, do better. That is why this year I’m going to be the best I’ve ever been and build my company up even more. I’ve got many projects in my schedule and I’m working on my first ever mobile game, which I’ll talk about more later in the year.
Last year taught me a lot about myself. My strengths and my weaknesses. I now listen to my body more and if I need to take a break I will. If you don’t have your health, you have nothing. Stress seems to affect me more than I thought. It’s always good to take breaks, exercise, eat healthy and be happy.
Loot Drop Graphics
On the 2nd of January this year I launched a project that I had been working on for most of 2019. That project was Loot Drop Graphics. An online store which sells affordable graphics for streamers and content creators. I built this to help people who are wanting to improve their streams and content creators for their communities.
I’ll be working on bringing more and more premium and free graphics to content creators over the next few years. I want to build up Loot Drop Graphics so that it is one of the best places to get stream overlays, emotes, sub badges and more for your channel.
Looking to the Future
I’m looking forward to what 2020 and the next decade is going to bring my way. I’m more excited and motivated than I ever have been before. I read through my previous year in review blog post and I was motivated then but now I’m ten times motivated to build my business and be more successful. Now that I have my little family who rely on me I have to be the best I can be, providing for our future.
In the previous decade I took the leap to go self employed and work for myself. This year I will be celebrating 7 years as a freelance creative. I can’t believe it has been that long already. Time does really fly when you are having fun. My job doesn’t feel like work to me, it feels like I’m doing my hobby that I love every day.
I always say this. Life is far too short to not be happy with what you have. If something doesn’t sit right with you change it. Life flies by so quickly. Make your time on this planet the best you can.
For most of us money is a huge motivator and it can have too much power over our lives. I want to rid my life of that stress and not have to worry about money each and every day. That alone has lit a fire under my back side and made me want to be the very best that I can be. Not only for myself but my wife and family.
So this year I want to improve my skills, share my skills with you all and just generally be a better creator. I’m planning on creating a YouTube channel and a Patreon where I share some tutorials, free graphics, and more. I want to build a community who want to improve themselves, like I do. So we can all learn together.
I think that is everything for me. 2019 was successful and I’m going to make 2020 even more successful.
What was your highlight from 2019? What are you going to be improving on in 2020?
